ABOUT THE WORK:
THE SEA GOD is an independent piece recreated from a large-scale work titled ICELAND (pron. ‘Eeslahnd’). ICELAND tells the story of the Icelander’s journey to Vinland. As their ship ventures further into the ocean, the work moves into ‘mythological space’ and at a certain point they voyage over the home of The Sea God, Aegir. Aegir rises from his crystaline palace in the depths of the ocean and throws at the Icelanders a tempest. From this I created THE SEA GOD.
