Summer Project Complete!

It took a few extra weeks than originally planned, but the massive project is complete. String Quartet #1 – which addresses our political condition, offers homage to my mother, actress Anna Filameno and two of my mentor/teachers, composers Karel Husa and Donald Erb and ends in an emphatic rendition of our national anthem… is in the books!  Thanks to the amazing Amernet Quartet who will be premiering it soon!

Now to my next project… most of the book of which I wrote while vacationing in Oregon in July… titled ‘Dancing Night Hawk’, this new interdisciplinary work is an amalgam of Native American myths wrought into an original new story… Music, Live Performance, Lots of Visuals and Stage Craft!  Better get to work, the premier is set of October 29th!  See you there!

Michael Spudic of ASCAP

“It is my pleasure to support Christopher Kaufman and his innovative production, THE PHANTASTIC THEATER, an extraordinarily entertaining concept that successfully brings together fine arts education with live performance… his collaboration with world renowned flutist/composer Robert Dick was fabulous… the expressions on the faces of the young people in attendance and their rapt attention spoke volumes… Leaving the theater, I had the opportunity to speak with a young dad who related how much he and his daughter enjoyed the presentation and how important it was that Kaufman so creatively encouraged people to use their imaginations…”

Steven Sandberg of Dora the Explorer fame

I love this project! Christopher writes music that is sophisticated, striking, original, serious yet accessible to children. Plus a great story and great art. A wonderful project. — Steve Sandberg, composer, “Dora the Explorer.”
“Tales Of The Ocean City by Christopher Kaufman, is a multimedia eBook that fuses narration, music, and visual art to create a rare kind of experience — a brilliant form of entertainment that masterfully blends these beautiful episodic stories with award-winning music and dazzling art. Fantasy readers who also love epic music, you’re in for a treat once you consume the wonderful world of Kaufman’s creative work”… F.J.Bayrog – Fantascize Mag.
